Our Story

The story of Whiskey Wood & Leather began in 2016.  Michael Alder father of 7 was trying to find a decent product for his beard. Everything he had tried had a weird texture and horrible smell. He ordered many products online, to his surprise all of them had an unappealing scent. They left his beard greasy, shiny and feeling heavy. At this point his quest began to make the ultimate beard oil and balm! Starting in his kitchen making batch after failed batch, finally one year later he nailed it.

He began sharing his product with friends and family, making 3 units at a time. At this point he realized everyone loved what he had created and wanted more. He created several different oils and balms, once again these were a great hit! What happened next was not expected, a local barber had used these products through a mutual friend of Michael’s. He wanted to carry and use his products in the barber shop. The barber started carrying the products in the shop and selling to his customers. After several reorders of the product, Michael knew he had a business.

At this point Michael decided to launch the company. Now making products in large batches in a much larger space than his humble start. Now the products are sold online, Amazon, in barbershops, Salons and other store fronts. Our mission and goals are to create an awesome product, with incredible fragrances that leave your beard fed and begging for more.
